Something this way comes...

Today was awesome.. I did really well at work and finally feel focused so that I can achieve the things I need to. I used to think it was hard to get to a certain goal, but someone very close to me and my best friend told me that "you can do anything just as long as you set your mind to it." That really is true.. our minds are the one true things that can free us or block us. Our thoughts ARE things. I used to think that saying was so silly, but it really is true. All of the great poets knew the secret and I hope that more people figure it out too, because this world has a lot to offer. My thirties have been and are the best times of my life.. everything I wanted in life I have and the rest is just an adventure.

Time to go do some things productive.. :)

Here is a recipe that I am about to make! :)

Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

3 cans garbanzo beans
juice from one can of garbanzo beans
2 tblsp Garlic
1 1/2 tblsp Olive Oil
3 tblsp lemon juice

2 roasted red pepper halves (you can find these in Costco or the grocery store)
pepper to taste

Place all contents into blender and blend until smoothe.
You may need to add a little more liquid, depending on the consistancy

So this is it...

I decided to start a blog, but I am unsure of what my main topic of discussion will be. Maybe it will be a collaboration of random conversation, moments and thoughts. I don't know yet, but this is a start.

I am a person of many interests.. right now I am attempting to learn macro photography..slowly, or when my attention randomly goes towards snapping many different pictures. My boyfriend, Ben has a camera and he has shown me how to get the right angle..which definitely comes down to patience and a good eye for what you are capturing; he's pretty awesome at that.. hes a ninja. I'll post a few of my creations in the future.

I am also going to start blogging about some new recipes I have tried, made or created. I have recently found that I am intolerant to gluten, wheat and dairy, so I have had to cut out almost all things that have any type of ingredient that will cause a reaction (or tried is a better term, I have issues with emotionally eating things that are bad for me, because I crave them.. its weird, but I need to stop, so this blog will help me I think). We recently got a dehydrator and have been following the paleo diet (or attempting to), which really rejuvinates the mind and body as long as you follow the simple foundations of it.

"Paleo is a simple dietary lifestyle that is based on foods being either in or out. In are the Paleolithic Era foods that we ate prior to agriculture and animal husbandry (meat, fish, shellfish, eggs, tree nuts, vegetables, roots, fruit, berries, mushrooms, etc.). Out are Neolithic Era foods that result from agriculture or animal husbandry (grains, dairy, beans/legumes, potatoes, sugar and fake foods)" Go here to learn more: Paleo Diet Summary.

Well, I'm at work, so that is all for now. :)
